The Grady Family
Toby, Katie, Jacob, Sarah Grace and Stephen
Toby and Katie, both from Atlanta, Georgia, met at the University of Georgia in 1997, as Toby was finishing his undergrad degree (German and Pol. Sci.) and Katie was starting a Master's program in Music Education (Katie got her bachelor's degree in Music and Psychology from Duke University).  They were married in 1999, and moved to Oregon, where Toby got his Master of Divinity
from Multnomah University in Portland, and Katie was a music teacher.  In 2003, Toby and Katie moved to Boone to start a campus ministry at Appalachian State.  They have three kids: Jacob is six, Sarah Grace is three and Stephen, who was born in December of 2010.

Toby’s more-refined interests include history, New Testament studies, foreign films, Eastern Europe, and coming up with ideas for Camp Evergreen, which Toby and Katie have been running in the north Georgia mountains for ten years. His less refined pastimes include watching old Seinfeld reruns, collecting Simpsons memorabilia, and eating (fresh) Krispy Kreme donuts.  He is also, to the chagrin of his wife, a huge fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 as well as all bad science fiction movies.

Katie’s refined interests include organic cooking, environmental issues, and fine literature. She serves as the year-round director of Camp Evergreen, performing various chores such as website-building, parent calling, and staffing counselors. Nevertheless, she can also be found watching horrible Disney channel movies, running, and eating Jelly Belly brand jelly beans in alarming quantities.

Jacob, Sarah Grace and Stephen are the official mascots and directors of fellowship for Trail.  If you choose to come to Trail, Jacob and Sarah Grace very well may trap you in their room and force you to play pirates or superheroes with them.  At this point in his life, Stephen will simply drool on you with all the love in his cheerful little heart.  You've been warned.
